No one comment yet? I only know a little bit about butterfly so here I go.
Although it is not necessary, ideally the tails will extend forward and stay extended; this piece's right tail doesn't seem to do that? In this case, I'd rather the left-tail retracts and matches the right to be balanced. To cheat in a photo contest, snap a pic when this butterfly is swimming backwards for the flip-foward look. hee hee. A rather serious flaw is how the tails split. On this butteryfly, the split is too "hard" and wide. Ideally, the split should be close(er) and look "soft", to the extend it looks joined. In both pics, the tip of the left tail folds down. If I'm not wrong, overtime the fold will be greater and the tails will "collapse" due by water resistence. Overall a so-so butterfly. Sorry, but I'm sure you'll catch a good one soon. |
