QUOTE(Secretary @ Tue, 21 Jun 2005 11:16 am) if you see the osaki here you can notice that the the ranchu either was caught in something, or was resting on it which shouldn't happen and since it isn't severe twisting you can say the stress was recent and brief |

Secretary asked for comments but Frankies discussing how to tell whether it is stressed.
OK.I couldnt find much flaws in this SV, whether the head, body shape ,arch, tail or scales.I think it scores well individually in each of the department. But, combining all these flawless points does not make the fish to have a great first impression.Very hard to explain.Somehow these good points do not 'gel' together to give me the "WAAAH" feeling. In conclusion I wont mind owning it, but I wont miss not having it either. |

He's suggesting that the photo of the destressed ranchu be repost later for comments as it is stressed. Comments then would reflect the ranchu properly. I think this Frankie is a real expert for noticing that it is stressed and for sharing. |

I just do lots of reading and researching (talking to vetenarians) about goldfish health http://www.aquariumfish.net/information/si...and_disease.htm talks about clamp fins like this topic and another, swimming behavior, and deterioration of a fishes tail https://www.goldfishconnection.com/index.php if you look up the products sold, there will sometimes be an explanation of how the things work like this one about "jump start" https://www.goldfishconnection.com/shop/det...Id=111&catId=14 that's how I knew the goldfish from a previous topic was having a small problem with it's digestive system, it's a good idea to look up goldfishconnection.com they have notes on alot of subjects most of the things I mentioned are also from personel experience, I myself have many stressed fishes |
