Yes, the hump could be better, but it could also be the angle of the photo. The problem with the tail is not so much the shape, but the angle it juts from the body. Next time, look for a more acute angle. Much like ranchu, an angle of around 90 degrees will me much more appealing.

I think it is a beautiful fish. The hump is just fine for me - as the fish grows the hump will be more beautiful. If the hump is already well built for the fish that size, I am afraid it will impact negatively on the growth.
Seen from side, the body looks perfectly circular, which is nice. The head is pointed, which is good. The pattern is beautiful and the color is deep. I don't know about the tail, looks not that bad. |
