Beside, doesn't a normal fish gets especially excited when they eat and move around more? We have seen many pics of fish with gills problem. Yours is a classic example! Flush it. ![]() |

a typical feeder grade BBR.
" look open a bit" freeze it or flush it. no point wasting time, money and resources. |

QUOTE(Secretary @ Mon 21 Jun 2004 09:18 AM) Please comment freely, it is a BBR I would also like to know what you guys think of it's future potential, please comment on it's Tail, Osa, Head & Body Ratio, Head Growth, scale, BackBone, and maybe the bloodline too. Thank you 1st of all, it's a black baby. late spawn, probably 3mths old. 2ndly, keep it for another 2 mths to see how it can develop. The important thing right now is to work on it's survival, health and water maintenance. Not so much on how well it can grow in the future. 3rdly, it's still a young fish. most of the features are now going to show right now. but if you know of it's parent lineage, it would give us more information on how it would be in the next 3-4 months. 4thly, how well it grow or what potential is not about it's present state. It's about You. How well you can keep and groom it. Finally, it's a BABY ! if you bot it and don't know the bloodline, noone else can find out. That's my general comment for you. As for the fish, scaling is not good. Overall feature as a baby still okay. Should not cost you a lot of money. Below 100 ? Probably 70-80 ... Not too bad lah. If you want the rest to change their comments, update us in 6 wks time. |

In my very frank opinion, this fish is still very young.
IMHO, its a Thai. Dont waste time nurturing this babe (u could prove me wrong, if u can post pic 6 mths later and thats also if it can survive 6mths.) How much u bought this babe, if its S$20 or less ok, anything more than than not worth it. |

I'm new to ranchu keeping, and I'm not into competition grade fishes. I just like healthy and cute looking ranchus, no need perfection. |
