Greenwater activated after a week of fishless cultivation,nw in 2nd brew..but the water does nt seem very green compared to bro's desireless thread..could it be dead algae..?cos i c some clear water on the top..

The green water looks good to me.It will turn greener (from the current 'sugar cane green' to 'jade green') when you start to rear fishes, with adequate light supply.

Green water specialists pls correct me if I am wrong.

Yes it looks fine to me. Congrats. good_very.gif

Make sure you have ample light. About 8 hours per day should be OK. And you will need aeration in the water too as there is reverse mechanism under weak light conditions.

but already gt fishes inside..and water still remain the same color leh.despite with ard 10 hrs of light everyday with 2 fishes inside

Probably due to the brightness setting of the camera and surrounding light that makes the difference in the shade of green

For those who practise green water culture indoor I personally salute your effort.
Not only you need to have gold fingers to nurture your goldfish but green fingers as well to brew your green water culture.A double honors degree not easily attainable by the average keepers and only achievable by a few hardcore practitioners here.
