hello everyone from london uk. i am planning a trip to singapore soon. plan to buy some show quality side view ranchu and oranda. any suggestions as to where i should go?

i seem to understand from the postings here that "samgoldfish" is worth visiting. is there anyother place worth visiting? are they located in seletar?

i am looking for the absolute best quality only. am also open to buying from private collectors/breeders.

any suggestions perhaps?

thanks all! smile.gif

It depends on what kinds of goldish that you're looking for.

For general goldfish, 2 places I would recommend, namely "Seletar/Jalan Kayu" and "Pasir Ris". There are the places where several LFSs congregate at.

Seletar/Jalan Kayu Farmway Area:

Sam's Goldfish:

Nanyang:
Just 20m away from Sam's Goldfish

Pasir Ris Farmway area:

Lot 35

Lot 22 (Walking distance away from Lot 35)
http://www.rafflesgold.com/forums/index.ph...indpost&p=35349

Walk along Pasir Ris Farmway 2 and you can find several more goldfish LFS.

thanks for the help buddy. any idea as to how the range and quality differs at these places?

I am looking for exceptional show quality. I know that good specimens, especially ex show winners can be very expensive, but how much would the top end pieces at these respecetive farms be priced at on average? are they only available interminttently? i plan to be in singapore in late june/early july.

which would be a better farm for side view ranchu?
and for oranda?

what about mainland farm or max (these are names that I have picked up from this message board)?

Hi goldfishcrazy,

You sure sound very goldfish crazy. Coming all the way to Singapore to buy your goldfish. Should come and see our "My Fancy Goldfish Competition". This is the first time we are having it. I am very excited about it. Just like you, I love goldfish but am not so crazy as to be flying halfway round the globe in search of goldfish.

I am sure there are many RG brotherhood here willing to bring you round this little island to search for your "dream goldfish".

Take care

Goldfishcrazy,

Do note that there may be people who would offer assistance to you on the pretext of showing you around; but in actual fact acting as proxies for their own commercial gains.

I just recently went down to Pasir Ris Farmway 2, I don't actually know whether i went the correct one becasue all i could see actually were pet shops and marine fishes, as in the arowanas? I just walked all the way in from the left turn at the signboard that says Pasir Ris Farmway 2. On the other hand, I find farmway 1 at Pasir Ris carrying some really beautiful goldfishes at attractive pricings actually.
