first, sun dry the pre-own tank if possible.
bone dry the tank for a week if sunning the tank is not possible before filling with water (just enough to cover the fish back & your filter to work) from your 2ft and transfer the fish in the process.

2nd
transfer the filter to the 3ft during the water transfer quickly to minimize the time where no water is flowing thru it.

3rd
after the transfer, add de-chlorine/buffer and fill up to capacity.

4th
after that, clean your 2ft and fill with fres de-chlorined/buffered water.
use 1-2 of your current fish to start off the green water.

rotate your 5 fish between the 2 tanks and your setup is perfect. additional fish is adding new parasites/bacteria that might give u more headaches to deal with in the beginning.
following the sequence is also a good idea smile.gif

hmmm... i thought HB mentioned in his thread for Green Water to use cheap and healthy goldfish.

My goldfish is not very expensive, however why does he suggest cheap ? does it means there might have a risk of killing the fish due to stress ?
