This is a very impressive Ranchu...

1. Tail - Structure is strong, and is the 4-pivoted type. I do find the osara a little bit messy and I wish the right tail is fully coloured.

2. Body - The backbone is wide and strong with a thick peduncle. I bet this ranchu can whack havoc in the tub! Those scales are very beautiful, and they are shiny.

3. Head - The Wen and Cheeks are gorgeous! Do you feed your ranchu tofu? unsure.gif

The only major flaw is this ranchu swim in a circle, counter-clockwise, because it lacks a left pectoral fin! mad2.gif

Of course, this Ranchu has two pectoral fins (grin). But the left one is white and is not visible on the photo. I do wish it was red !

Very nice ranchu. Japanese do not judge the colour pattern on their ranchu right???? It is OK even if one pectoral fin is white. Probably if you take the picture on a blue tub, it will show itself better.

Head growth is excellent! Second is the thick, powerful back that stretches to the tail.
Not sure if its the picture defect? But the scale just look a little awkward!
Overall, will be perfect if the oza to be thicker and stronger.

What do you mean with Oza should be thicker and stronger ? Oza are the scales under the tail. These are not visible on this photo ! Oza of this Ranchu is very big. I think there is a little misunderstanding concerning the name "Oza".

This is a bloodline that I have been developing in Belgium for 5 generations. But there is a lot of Kashino Ranchu and Kawai Ranchu in it.

I do not very well understand your question.
But, I think that the shape of this tail is very good. The tail should be a little more flexible, but this will be corrected as it now swims in a big pond. A big pond and high water temperatures make the tail bones more flexible.
