Hi,

This is my tosai. Total length is around 10 cm, 5 months old and it's a male. Please feel free to comment peace.gif

Oh! Very exquisite patterning!

Body could be longer I guess, and I think the tail trunk is a bit long than ideal.

Sure it's a male? The right side of the stomach looks bigger, maybe it's a female?

Once again, I love the pattern very much, very pleasing to the eye.

Look forward to its development yes.gif

Nice pattern, not so nice headgrowth.

Hi,

Thanks for your comments.

Yes, it's a male. I also wish the longer body and head, and the funtans are all red good_very.gif
I agree, the headgrowth needs improvement. The breeder said it is a typical of old Kashino's bloodline, the head is a bit round not square shape. Wonder if it's true or not. Will try to feed him with lots of bloodworm. He is in QT now.

Cheers...

Maybe it is the angle that the pictures are taken, I can't tell much on the peduncle. It looks thin from these photos. Can you please take one exact top view profile?

Such headgrowth is ok for a tosai

Hi,

Thanks for your comments. You are right, although the back is quite thick but the peduncle is getting thinner at the end. I don't have the exact top view pics at the moment, but maybe these pics can give you the idea.

Can't expect too much head growth at 5 months. Should be growing now. I didn't think peduncle was too long, but maybe too thin. I agree pattern is beautiful - especially on the tail.

Thanks, Steve. No significant improvement as the fish was in QT for 2 wks and I moved him to tub last Sunday. This fish has tendency to be 'fat', the stomach will be bloated and round after feeding. I feed him Hikari Lionhead + Spirulina, small amount per feeding, 7 times a day with 2 hours interval starting at 6 am (using autofeeder). Water change twice a week, 80% and 100% each.

Any advice to improve my keeping skill will be appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

Hi bro,
I prefer BW for the breakfast. yes.gif
And then Hikari Lionhead will be ok.
Plus one day full fasting.
How about vegetable diet for the fish? Any algae?

Thanks

Thanks, Bro.

I temporarily stop feeding BW due to the outbreak in my region recently. Just to play safe.....

No algae, but I'm planning to feed them green peas. Tried to find Saki Hikari for goldfish, but no success.... sigh...

I can help you to find Saki Hikari. biggrin.gif
I have tried Saki Hikari Breeder Preferred.
Very recommended. good_very.gif

Thanks, Bro.

I am referring to the "Saki Hikari Fancy Goldfish", as in RG Store. I think the product that you mentioned is for Koi, the pellet size is bigger than what I'm looking for.
