Head growth may be there but the peduncle is too long. The fish is not well kept too.
Backbone is not thick enough as well.

#2:
Bad head, long penduncle, lousy tail. Probably struggle to swim too.

#3:
By far the best amongst the 3. Head growth still not outstanding but can be groom.
Backbone is good and peduncle short enough. tail set quite ok as well except that the oza is lacking.

At least CH didnt spend a small fortune to buy commercial grade japs.

Afterall, judging from his poor sv ranchus selection/keeping standard, I'm glad he starts from the low-end of the scale with top view.

I think you have raised them pretty well compared to the first posting. Especially their head. Are they given many bloodworm? Although they aren't the top quality. But I guess you have a very good experience to maintain the fish healthy and happy. Not an easy job I must say.

Thanks guys for your comments.

I learn much from this forum even though I have keep goldfish for many years. The forum has shared about stocking level vs space, which truly has contributed to the growth of my fishes.
And as for TVR, I am a "newbie" and made mistakes for my poor selection. These fishes were my first for TVR and follow by more purchases of TVRs and BBRs. I have lost some but learnt lessons from it.
Till date I am still trying to find the best possible way to keep goldfish in our hot tropical environment and confine space. Hence, I yet to empty my bank account for good TVRs, but my wife think that day will come.
What do you think goldfish wants? To me, good environment and good food. Good environment will be space for it to swim and good water for it to breath. Good food will be as natural, if possible.

Thanks, this were my first TVRs.
I do not understand "very low quality", what is your reference? I bought this from tubs indicating only Tosai. There was no mention of "A, AA, AAA, Standard, Premium, Showgrade and Compgrade". If LFS do indicate, it is reliable and who actually did the grading, the breeder or the trader?
Appreciate if you can assist with your helpful reply as I keeping coming across these gradings and its not only confusing to me but also to other newbie.

what I meant by low quality is that these TVRs do not exhibit the good traits that a tvr should have, eg long head,long bodies,strong tail etc.they all have short bodies and weak peduncle and weak tails.

i do not go along with the categorisation of Ranchus into AA, AAA, Premium ,Showgrade etc etc.they are all just marketing bullshit.when buying fish, forget about the gradings.gradings influences pricing.you should not let that sway your judgement.

Again, are you using AJRS standard as a reference? If so, that standard is too high to attain.
I understand there are people with deep pocket getting such high quality fishes or even prized fishes. Short cut to their objective not hobby.
