Green Water: No
Country: USA

Just got into Goldfish about 6 months ago. I have kept tropical fish for about 45 years, with African C. and
Saltwater at various times. I was getting tired of keeping the same thing and because I have hard water I had to use an R/O system and to a lot of water adjustments. It occurred to me that I have never kept Goldfish and that my well water might be just right for them. My first two fish are a black telescope and a ryukin. I started reading about quality Goldfish ( where I live you can't find high quality fish) and have just ordered my first really nice ranchu from a breeder in Hawaii. She is in a quarantine tank right now. I think I am going to have to remove the ryukin from the tank she is a very fast eater. I will have to watch and make sure the ranchu is getting enought to eat. I really like the black telescope but will find it a new home if it proves to be to much for the ranchu to deal with. I think the ranchus and the lionheads are my favorites. They are so cute. Forgot to mention my tank is 125 gallons and 6 feet long. No green water. One thing I find frustrating is that there is no guide for all the color terms listed on Goldfish. It would be nice to know what these names mean that are telling you about a Goldfish for sale.
I am finding these Goldfish on auction sites, such as, Goldfish auction and GoldfishConnection.com
Thank you for letting me tell you a little about my newbie experience.java script:emoticon(':rolleyes',%20'smid_18')
