head, body, and tail looks good but to me still not balance. what do you think TS?

Posted by: Frankie Sat, 17 Jul 2010 11:41 pm

Overall a nice looking specimen.

Hood - made up of tiny pimples which look pleasing when grown fully if they stay even.

Tail tube - looks strong till it reaches the bracelet where it appears to thin. This could be an illusion due to its colour or the photography angle or light refraction.

Tail - looks good except for slight downturn from the shoulder on the left side. Again this could be due to fish still in stight motion.

Body - prefer a little longer but could grow out with development.

Scales - could be smaller and smoother edged in some cases with ginrin making them look a little untidy.

A quality fish given what it takes to produce such specimens.

It is not 100% balance but I don't see a major problem. The messy scale to me is the major flaw of the fish.
Please share your views further of your findings.

Thanks!

It will be better if the eyes are further away from the mouth.

Colour not strong enough, needs to improve.

Thanks for the comments. You are right, hope it's future hood growth can cover both eyes.
Pic was taken on the 2nd day I bought this fellow. Will try to improve it's color soon and update new pics.

Any more comments for discussion? Let's give more comments ya. I will keep updating it's growth and maybe we can study this fellow together?

For your next photo, please try to take the photo top down and not at an angle. I have made my comments above.

Hello Frankie,
Roger! It's really not easy taking a fish pic, esp with an antique digital cam, but I will try.

Thank you!

Colour and wen much improved; good job.

It doesn't look right, body shorter and getting fat, likely overfeeding. Tone down feeding and let it swim more.

What do you feed it with?

hmmm how big is your tub? good impove in the head growth and colour i think it need to have bigger space to swim try to give this fish more space to swim so it the body can grow longer.

I don't think the body have become shorter, must be the angle of the 1st pic? Too much feeding with pellet food. I use Hikari Lionhead. Do you think it is ok?

after looking at the pic again. note that the head grow and the body grow fat that why is let others have a feeling that the fish is short. if you really look at it again you will know the fish grow very well and i am sure under TS care this will comfirm be a TVR. can i know is this a Thai TVR?
