Ownership proven.

Everyone can fire away with your comments.

I start first. tongue.gif

Despite one serious flaw, I like this ranchu very very much. The shape of its body (excl head/tails) fit my ideal of a good ranchu that can grow to jumbo size.

The cheeks are very pronounced for a small ranchu of this size. I hope you will be able to keep them cheeky with good goldfish keeping habits. The headgrowth is nice; not exccessive like a "lionchu" but typically ranchu like. I think i should mention i like the position of the eyes too.

Coming to the serious flaw. The tails is set too high; the tip of the tails extended above its back. In thai sideview competition, this is instant disqualification. Shiong hor? But aiyah... pretend I neber say it and just enjoy your ranchu okay?

The body shape of this ranchu reminds me of GA007 and GA009.Not exactly my favourite type of body shape (I prefer high backs),but overall a good piece.Headgrowth and open tail is also good. This piece have no problems swimming horizontally.

I cant help but notice that you have a collection of rather unusual and interesting ranchus.Pls post the ones next to it and hopefully with a clearer pic as well.

The pic are blur but from the outlines these look like nice ranchus. Can you borrow a DC from your fren or consider buying one?

Erm... your tank looks kinda crowded hor. You want to be known as a goldfish stuntman har?

It's not considered a defect, for which they only take points off, but a serious flaw that they won't even allow it to be entered for competition.

But... that's in tai kok and maybe some local competition too...

Aiyah, you like it can leow. Mai hiam.

Just be extra careful when the fish is sick, floating near the water surface to rest. The tip of the tall tails will stick out and overtime "rot" due to prolong exposure to air. Trust me on this one; I've seen a damn cute ranchu that suffer this fate.

I will pay up to $60 for it. tongue.gif

me

ps. yah... die die must not be a stuntman -- do something about your stock ratio

The pics are not very clear, but first let my try to list the fishes, pls correct me if I am wrong.
There are a total of 5 fishes namely:
1)The main fish 071
2)An all white
3)One with red dot on cheek
4)Calico no.1 (the smaller piece)
5)Calico no.2 (the bigger piece)
I hope I dont have eyes that shoot bird.

I rate the fishes in the order stated above.First 3 likely Thai fish, the 2 calicos likely China.
Fishes 3,4 and 5 has imperfections on the back (not smooth),and IMO the all white has the nicest body shape.

Bro Allan is only willing to pay up to $60 for the main fish, either he is very kiam siap or he is using 007 and 009 ($35) as the standard. My guess is that you have to pay more than $60 for each of these.

Pls dont ask me how much I am wiiling to pay, though.

And yes,pls do something on the stock ratio.

Although it is not perfect, but this should be your best fish in your collection.
Agreed with our fellow members, your tank is way too crowded....Perhaps get rid of the calico, 'cause they are probably the worst of the lot or shift them to another tank...

So you're not going to do anything about it? cry.gif You can you know.

You don't need new tanks.

You can cut down on the number of fish you keep.

It's definitely better to have a great ranchu than a tank full of stunted crappy ranchus. Tio boh?

With good water, you can watch it grow. Everyday you can see it swimming about happily instead of stone stone like waiting to die coz damn stressed out by the poor water quality.

what i like abt this fish? the head growth, proportional tail and the angle of the tail. and it is cheeky too.
it is abit fat though.

but I don't like the body shape. it is too humpy to my likings. it is like a road hump, the gradient should be gradual starting from the head and tapered off steeper when it reach the tail end.

nonetheless it is still a nice fish.

will i buy ? nope....but i like to admire.
