The merger of posts is not a software glitch but rather an enhancement feature to the new version. Posts made by the same member in the same topic continuously, within 10min, will be merged automatically. This is a measure to help ease the work of moderators - We have been doing that manually all these while.

So how am I going to write a caption for a partiular uploaded picture with all pic lumped in a single post.please advise

ok for eg

this morning topic where i post 5 images
The first 3 would have met almost its limit so i need to post first
Now the next 2 have to be posted with some text or message which i type the "next two"
When i view the initial images they appear fused as one and i get all images without a breakbut the sentence "the next two images" located after my main message and before all the photo which give no meaning to what i was trying to tell .

Ha? Isn't that better? You do not need to write "the next 2 pictures" in another post.

Upload pictures, when limits reached, reply with another post and continue to upload pictures. When it is done, it will automatically be merged with your previous post. Doesn't mean that because you reached a limit with first post, that you cannot post a second one until 10 mins later. Your limit is doubled when you do a second post. So in one post you have twice the limit set.

Better, wat?

yes I continue to upload with the remainig pic in the next post but when i press add reply....it come up with a pop-up to include a message text before i can reply.....so i just type something in order to post

Maybe use "Enjoy..."?

Or if you already know you've reached the limit in post #1, then save the last sentence of post #1 to post #2. Such things are at your discretion.

Unread Posts Issue

After the upgrade, I am sure many of you face this problem of having all forums/topis/posts marked as "UNREAD".
For example, the forum icon for a forum that has no new post after your last vist should look like this

This means that there is at least one NEW post in a forum AFTER you last visited.

To resolve this, go to the http://www.rafflesgold.com/forums/index.php?act=idx and click "http://www.rafflesgold.com/forums/index.php?act=Login&CODE=05" found slightly below the center of page (above Board Statistics)



After doing this, the board's "check new posts" function will be able to serve you better ;)

Don't worry, it is supposed to work this way. This is a new function which helps members who
- don't know how to use the button
- never knew such thing existed

Like my post here. I made 2 replies and the system helped me merge them into 1 post.

I agree with you that things will become simpler.
But what about post that are not answering to quotes or fast reply?

Sometime i need two separate post to illustrate my point leh,especially those that got video,pic which I need to highlight.Merging two or more become very LUAN......
for eg if my quarantine video is posted with the current format and if I need to write a caption for that particular video or pic and all these are merge as one my writing would appear on top of two or more pic/video below giving a unrelated look Anyway to overcome this other than a 10 min wait?

Maybe I pm someone to post something (or else create another monicker for myself)after my posting so as to disrupt the merge and thereafter delete his post to assume my position

This function is meant to tackle members who type one or two liners per post, continuously. It is a nuisance for a reader, having to scroll down to read the next post, only to see it being authored by the same person with a 1-liner. And then scroll down again to find a 3rd post by the same author. It happens a few times here already

Addressing to multiple people without quote can also be done in one post. Like this

As mentioned, it applies to me too. Well, It's only a 10-min curfew. Most of the time I use more than 10 minutes to reply one post. By the time I click reply, it would be over 10 min and my 2 posts will not be merged. Indeed, this function has some issues but it has brought more benefits than inconvenience. It is just a matter of getting accustomed to changes (for the better).
