The original Clementi aquarium @ Blk 328 also sells Genesis anti chlorine for $5.
This is the transparent bottle.

Happens to be in Yishun and visited AquaStar.

sponge replacement for guppy brand $2

guppy brand filter $4.5

HB, in the list you have

Shiruba Air-pump SP107-SW listed twice in Filtration and also in Misc.

It might be on purpose, so just point out just in case it was an oversight peace.gif

Posted by: HappyBuddha Mon, 10 May 2004 1:27 pm

I've removed the duplicate entries for Shiruba. blush.gif

I also want to thank you for sourcing the replacement sponge! It's hard to come by, but I did bought two before and kept them as spare. Unfortunately I cannot remember where I bought them but now that you mentioned AquaStar, I suspect that's where I got mine. I should highlight that of the two spares I have, one isn't properly aligned when they dug out the hole in the middle. It's offset to one side and the filter looks as if it's going to topple over. So watch out of this QC problem when you get yours.

The replace sponge for guppy brand can also be found in L35F... the price on the plastic bag is $2.

BTW do u guys find the spong for the Guppy Brand is very fragile? so slight scratching and it tiny bits comes out liao. Those Enqing or china brand type don;t seem to have this problem.

AiM Auto Feeder is selling $16.50 at 63 pasir ris farmway, same lot as JK Koi.

Yep I experience the same thing, I suppose HB also hence he put on the condom for the sponge. I went to Ikea last Saturday and pretend ... to put the condom into the trolley, home minister asked me to put it back on the shelf ... end of discussion.

The only problem with the other brands although I felt it was better being more porous, it is somehow less effective as compared to guppy brand. Maybe is the sheer size.

Cheers

Actually, I use the aluminium can first and foremost for esthetic reason. Next I find it helps trap large debris stopping many from floating around. Larger debris get suck into the can and then drop down and stay internally. Finally my fishes can't nip on the sponge (seemingly for food)

Tonight (or whichever night you need to perform nite duty) before you go to bed, power on your PC and surf to http://www.ikea.com.sg/products/product_display.asp?id=241 and stare for like... an hour. Make sure when she finds you're behaving strangely and ask what's wrong, reply "nothing" but then mumble something about "$4.90 only, I'm a pal of ikea got points to collect, you bought your mom those tupperware that costs half my monthly salary, Caster owns 11 sponge filters, HB say its good for trapping debris and on and on" before you tell her, "sian... tonite no mood for sex, dear."

Tomorrow you'll find your 2 feet tank expanded to 4 ft!

Posted by: jhansolo Mon, 10 May 2004 5:18 pm

dennis, we are on the same boat, just that my boat is a little smaller in size.

HB, if I did what you suggested, I'm sure it will not become 4ft ... history will not repeat itself.

Holycow! I was just told that the Shiruba pump is now selling at just $13.80 at Darwin, down from the already cheapest in town $15. It typically retails for $19 at other LFS.

That's a $1.50 savings over the normal version and that's attractive enough for me. But since there's only one left, until they re-stock it I won't be putting up the cartoon version in the lobang table. I hope they would do so soon as I feel the cartoon's version accuracy is enough since we won't let our water's ammonia level to go beyond safe.

Good Luck Aquarium (opposite Petmart and next to NTUC) sells Aquarium Pharmaceutical test kits cheap as follows:-

Nitrite $6.50
Ammonia $7.00
Nitrate $8.00

Posted by: jhansolo Tue, 18 May 2004 6:20 pm

Just to help bros who don't know the place Good Luck well, just in front of the shop is a OCBC ATM and children's playground. It is very near to the main enterance of the temple.

Posted by: HappyBuddha Tue, 18 May 2004 6:35 pm

I telephone Allan just now asking him why he hasn't included Good Luck's offering in the lobang table. He said he's doubtful that the shop's stock are new, and he also suspect the shop is unlikely to replenish the stock when they run out. Why? They also sell *some* Interpet medication for $5.50 per bottle only!!! Not the full range is available, and he confirmed this with the shop owner. He can't remember exactly which ones they have in stock but there were about 3 kinds.

So... this lobang at Good Luck is while stock lasts only.

Good Luck!

Sigh. Ran out of JRL, and decided to go to C328 to pick some up where I normally would buy from Petmart for $16.50. So imagine how surprised I am to find C328 ask for $20 a pack!

Anyone has lobang for cheap JRL? unsure.gif

If I'm not wrong, you can buy JRL from JK Aquatic (Geylang) for $13. It's actually a re-packed from their 1KG original packing. $13 gets you 250g.

Please call them to check in case my info is outdated.

went over to darwin just now .. it was my first visit .. gosh .. it had a radio re-broadcasting that it sells the cheapest things etc etc ..

went in and took its last 2 Shiruba air pump. but 1 had a price tag of 13.80 and the other says $15 .. mad.gif the young chaps starts flipping their supplier namecard booklet ... kaoz .. but still sold to me at 13.80 EA.

I need a new "FivePlan" or "Pentas" brand 2 feet tank, you know... the kind with a black plastic base as I find they are easier to carry to the wash area to clean up and not as fragile as an all-glass tank.

Anyone knows which LFS sells it cheap?

For all-glass, Rainbow sells the "Super" brand (QH's product line) 2 feet tank for $10 nia.

The entrance of our favourite "Lai ah, lai ah.. 便宜到笑 ah!" hunt spot is filled with such tanks... (Darwin lah!)

I agree such tanks are very light and easily transported.. very good when it comes to washing good_very.gif

Yeah, the best thing about the design is after lifting it, I can put it down without worrying about chipping off a corner of its base since the glass is protected by the plastic base.

Will you be dropping by again? If you do, could you check for me if they have the http://www.rafflesgold.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=51&view=findpost&p=778? This particular product from White Crane is banned but only recently so there could be some old stock still lying around. Thanks.

PS. White Crane also has Super "R" but that's not what I'm looking for.

Just got back from Darwin, ammonia alert is in stock, but I think I saw the price at 8.90 now.

And for Chroma fans, it is at $4.10, I'm not sure if it is of the same size.

I believe Chroma is available in one size only and it's 50g, so... $4.10 = cheap cheap since the usual price is $5.00.

Talk to the boss; tell her we'd love to buy Japan Ranchu Lord from her shop if she can sell it at a reasonable price. C328 is asking for $20 now where it used to cost $16 nia.

Maybe Choco can do the talking I think she will like younger guys, since she turn her blue chair on him... they own him big time.

Petmart is selling it at $6.50 but is presently out of stock. They are unable to confirm when new stock will arrive.

Rainbow is selling Interpet medication at $6.00 per bottle. If I'm not wrong, most of the popular ones are available.
