ahs anybody of you Goldfish and other fish in 1 tank? Some people say this is not ok, some say togehter with other freshwaterfish its ok.
I have two Platy in the tank with my 4 Veiltails. And a friend of mine also has sevreal Platy togehter with goldfish. Guppy were not ok they made too much trubble in biting the tails of veiltails. |

No harm if the other fish don't hurt and they can live in harmony together. Well, it really depends on your purpose of keeping goldfish. If you keep just for aquirium tank appreciation, it really no big deal. ;) If you keep the fish to groom it (e.g. to gain size, for competition), house it with same mate is really a problem, not to mention other breed . Strict upkeeping is needed not to compromising its space, food and health is critical (natural competiton must be avoided) to ensure we bring out the best of the fish. |

Actually, its quite contradicting for this question but i do suggest do not mix other fish with goldfish as they may be attracted by their fins and tend to bite it.

what temp do you have the tank at? I think the problem is that the goldfish would be too hot and the tropical fish too cold. the range of temp would be too extensive to put them both together.
