Scenario:
When A was still a student, he did a research and published a report on the findings/procedures pertaining to this research. In his report, under the "Acknowledgement" section, he credited his professor, Prof B for the advice/help/pointers rendered. So after that, A graduated. Few batches later, in the same faculty, a student C was given the task to COMPILE some relevant research papers by past students who had studied in the same faculty. One of the papers in the compilation list was that research papers published by A. So, under the "Acknowledgement" section of this student C's work (of compiling reports), together with rightful credits given to people involved in the other papers included in this compilation, with regards to the particular paper written by A, should credits be given to: 1) only A, because he was the author and he did all the work by himself. 2) only Prof B, because he gave good advice to his student. 3) both A and Prof B. |
