CP, I know what to do liao.

Next time participation fee won't be so cheap liao.

Each participant will get a specified seat allocation for a certain number of entries.
So a table of 10 during prize presentation and probably need Brian Wong and Quan YiFeng as host and we can have a sumptous 8 course dinner at the same time.

Then some of the fish bring out for auction and donate to charity.

Oui ... 7th month har.

By the time you can afford to own competition grade kois, chances are people will arrange for the transport on your behalf liao. biggrin.gif

And chances are people will be maintaining your filters, fetching your kois to and fro from your home to koi spas, etc etc.You only need to feed them. tongue.gif

One thing about koi comps; there is nothing to be ashamed of to let others know that the kois are not groomed by yourself.Or that you paid big bucks purchasing them just for the comp; and bring it home thereafter.

At the scoreboard listing the name of the owners of the winning kois of the many different categories, there is a column next to it listing the 'handler'.'Handler' means the farm that grooms your kois.So for eg if it is written there CP winning the over 80bu category and handler is Max Koi Farm, that means they take care of the koi for me lah. But, wait long long ah.......... rolleyes.gif

funny, why would they want to name the "handler" as his role was for a few days only? very very high expertise needed for such large koi?

In our local context, the handler is not 'small fry' liao.Reputable dealers such as Max Koi, Nippon Koi, are just some examples of 'handlers'.Or in other words, the LFS retailing kois.

I am not too sure; but I suspect that the handlers may have some sort of 'distribution rights' from the reputable farms in Japan.Max Koi obtains the fishes from Momotaro.

And apparently if your fish is 'handled' by the dealer and it wins, the dealer deserves some credit as well.

Anyway, the above points are based on my guesswork.Maybe those more familiar can clarify.
