Yeah... Albino pleco... small small only (3-inch plus) cost 8 bucks...

now I know it cannot eat poo so it is a waste of $$

can ah.. u feed the goldfish with food that doesn't digest easily, so the sucker can finish up the poo

Aiyah.. best thing is dunno how to check it's gills...Also the disease symptoms quite difficult to read than g/f.

But one thing for sure... dunno why but I very scared to catch it with bare hands leh

Discus start to KO 1by1,apparently these suckers have tons n tons of internal bacteria/parasite which they have got resistance to.

Hi guys, allow me to share some experiences with you. If your purpose of having a pleco is to help clean up the tank, then i wont advise getting any of them. Plecos shit a lot more compared to most fishes (i think goldfish also?) and some just like commercial food so much that they stop "cleaning" your tank. If you must get one, try those small ones. Most big plecos are not as hardworking as the small ones when "cleaning" the tank. Btw, i'm speaking of those common ones!

I think plecos look so ugly. Shouldn't get them to clean up the tank. Furthermore, even if they were to eat shit (which they don't) they would still produce shit what. So at the end of the day, the amount of shit in the tank remains the same. And they would probably compete with the goldfish for food and the amount of oxygen in the tank will decrease if you add a relatively large pleco.

Hello guys,
I am new here. just to share what i know
I have sucker fish inside my fountain with the goldfish. if u really want to put it in, i suggest you buy those small one which will not grow big. I asked the lady in the aquarium shop before buying it. These type of sucker fish will not bite goldfish and they are hiding most of the time. It costs abt $1.5 each. If u r not sure, it will be good to ask the shop keeper abt it.
just my 2 cents worth of suggestion.
P/S: I bought it at chinatown where i used to stay and still go there often. Locate at the 2nd storey.

Never ever have a sucker fish mixed with your goldfish, you will see him attacking your goldfish more then clearing the shit. Those that is > 5cm and when the body area of your goldfish are huge enough for their month to suck on, you will see them chewing and sucking on their scales. They will even ferociously attacking on the fish when they are sick, dislodging their scales till the fish dies.
I have discarded a few, when they grew and start to give me problem. Rather clean the tank myself then relying on this monster.
Be observant when you have one, they will do the attack when no one is around or in the middle of night. Smart guy . Watch-out for your goldfish for any wounds, injuries or falling scales, these are sign of attack from pleco.

Does the so call sucker fish really help to clean the tank???
If you drop fish food into the tank, the sucker fish will opt for the fish food.
If there is no fish food, they will eat the algae just like any other fish.
As for the shit, did anybody actually see the sucker fish eat the shit without spitting it out like any other fish?? I have not seen one.

Sucker fish doesn't eat shit.
But it does help my clean my tank which is prone to brown algaes.It keeps it sparkling clean.
I usually buy a small one,it does its job well.But when it gows bigger and starts attacking goldfish,I simply flush it down the toilet and replace it with another small one.
