Brs where to find Ranchu with cheeks..tried looking at qianhu but to no avail..Qh recently got some big Ranchus..but quite pricey at at least a hundred..interested can go down and take a look..

Hi!

I would suggest you read the list posted in the FAQs & Tips sub-forum. Beside those recommended, there are many LFS that have Ranchus with cheeks in the Serangoon North LFS neighhourhood. The characteristic you want doesn't come cheap. A small 2-3 inches is probably $30 onwards.

Hi bro, checkout this topview thai I got from Seletar Farmway 4's Ah Peh. Interested ? I think he still have a couple of them, and new stocks are coming in weekly right up to CNY.

Jeez, we can't even buy a butt-ugly ranchu around here. Only lionheads. If I want to purchase any new Ranchu stock, must order online. You guys are so lucky to have LFS's that carry such stock. I'm envious. shiok.gif

I might be wrong on this but the Ah Pek's place is probably where marked with a Star. I remember the entrance gate is near a kinked section of the road.

Bro buddha and g-string are both right.... Look out for the ah Peh smoking pipe at the entrance, after that can go further in to the other ah peh who sells reasonably-priced chinese ranchu.

Yah, but Vermillion fishes difficult to come by leh....
Also only can select on the net with still pictures, discovered some flaws after collected the fishes.... and I probably will not do it anymore....
For example, my white/red having minor finrot problem on the tail tip, recovered after one week, discovered that the tip of the tail folded and flipped up like aeroplane wings... cry.gif and one of the red one have a "reverse Y" tail, that means the top part of the tail joint at the middle, instead of have a "reverse V" tail cry.gif

so many times I thought I had brought home a perfect fish from LFS, only to find out it has minor flaws, eg. even tails when stationary, but one side high one side low when it's swimming sad.gif
