The Qian Hu Arowana Competition 2004 event starts tomorrow, a wednesday.

Anyone going? Don't forget to bring your camera to take pics of their goldfish, and file your field report if there's any special event lobangs to grab (fat chance). biggrin.gif

Okay okay, I should highlight something unusual about this event.

IPB Image

According to QH's web site, the "Competition" is from tomorrow September 1st onwards until September 8th. So, I presume that means the general public is cordially invited to visit from tomorrow onwards. Simple logic.

So what's so unusual??

According to their web site and official advertisement materials, Benching In will take place on September 1st between 9 am to 6 pm, ie, the first day general public is invited to visit. happydance1.gif

AFAIK, most fish competition do not allow the general public to wonder around the competition area during Benching In Day!

So I guess free free can drop by on Judging Days (Sep 2 and 3) too to buy coffees for the judges. wink.gif

Out of the 4 they reserved, only one was good leh but that is solely my opinion lah. There are some better ones in the holding tank. But they are all gone when I visited QH yesterday afternoon, perhaps move to somewhere else ?

Wah, too long ago, can't really remember already. If I remember correctly, even the better one also got defect, think the tail was slightly off-balanced. All the others were out of shape and I think the buyer is paying too much emphasis on the headgrowth alone...

In term of pricing, basically don't worth the money at all. Barely one week later, all the remaining ones downgraded to $150 from $250 which I think is more reasonable.
