The Ochiba shigure, which literally means fallen leaves over autumn shower is one of the most beloved koi under the Kawarimono classification .It has a blue grey background with yellow to brown markings which can interlace with ginrin scalation to give an additional reflective ambience.

This is how a Ginrin Ochiba Shigure looks like

Now imagine if you can find a ryukin with an Ochiba’s marking and reflective scalation…..

This is what I found

Colours similar, but ginrin scalation? I think not. Only plain metallic. Very nice fish though. Maybe u wanna take a top view photo to compare it with the koi? yes.gif

Unfortunately no hmm.gif It is too young. The fish is about 6 inches including its tail

Let me show this short video with its calico companion and perhaps you can see its unsual reflective scalation

You maybe right that such coloration is usually unstable, but it may turn up with more unusual discoloration rolleyes.gif

Notice that individual scales are speckled with black spot on its shiny surface uhm.gif

Hi Doc,

Do you mind if you share the price with us? wink.gif
I have seen one like that in a shop at Jakarta.
Junior size, around 13-14cm.
Retail price around SGD 200 more or less (because I haven't tried to bargain it). biggrin.gif
Imported from Tung Hoi.

Thanks peace.gif

Hi Bro Chan, SGD 200 for a good quality fish from Tung Hoi is quite cheap, IMHO.

Bro Will,

SGD 200 = Rp 1.3mio.
Never bought fish at that price. Probably after selling 10 of my fishes? rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif biggrin.gif

So do I nananana.gif . Well, Tung Hoi is known as a world class breeder and it produces high quality gfs. That's why I think S$ 200 is cheap biggrin.gif .
