Other arowana are OK. Only the red is banned. It is a federal law that started when the wild red aro became endangered species and was listed by CITES. We argue that they are now grown on farms and can be supplied with microchip and certificate of origin but they will not change the law. The penalty can be thousands of dollars and even jail.
