It isn't just reds. All asian arowana varieties are banned here. Though we are allowed to keep african bonytoung, silver (amazon), and australian (jardini) arowannas, all asian arowanas are banned. They are legal in Canada though, and if you thought the prices for nice aros were extravagant in Asia, you should see what they charge for the ones they smuggle in to the U.S.
