Hi all, just want to share with you guys my new purchase after I had stopped goldfish keeping 25 years ago.

I have always like goldfish among other fishes. They are cute, intelligent and beautiful. When I was in seconday school, I would take a bus to a fish shop in Chinatown just to get myself mesmerised by the sight of them swimming. I had paid countless visits to my classmate's home because his dad kept a big tank full of beautiful goldfish. Sensing my passion, his dad offered to sell me 8 of his prized goldfish for a token sum of S$20! I was head over heel and I enjoyed and kept them for two years before I sold them all to my friend as situations did not permit me to continue this wonderful hobby. To date, I can still remember how each and every one look like... sweatingbullets.gif cry.gif

Recently my wife gave me the green light to go ahead and I did some research on the internet and chanced upon this wonderful forum. I learnt alot from you guys and I thank you for all the knowledge shared here. good_very.gif good_very.gif

Last Sunday, I went to one of the recommended and reputable Goldfish farms and got myself 4 of these lovely Goldfish and would like to share with you guys tongue.gif

1. A small 3 inches Red/White Thai Oranda. I was sold by its elegant pose and long fins and tails:-

2. A Red/White Ranchu. Quite a good size for me and I like the way it swims:-

3. A full golden Thai Oranda. I was attracted to its long tail and good body shape:-

4. Last but hopefully more to come, a blackie with long fluffy tail..(but isn't Thai Oranda has shorter tail?? rusure.gif )

Please share with me your thoughts on them. They may not be your grade A show fish but I love all of them tongue.gif

Of all the fishes shown, I rank the black oranda best. The ranchu will be last though.

All the best in your 'rekindled' hobby. Btw, nice photography. biggrin.gif

Thank you for the kind comments.

CP, thanks for the ranking.. I like the black one also smile.gif Too bad, I am still not sharp in taking the best picks and didn't know that the ranchu is not perfect.

I will certainly camp here more frequently to learn from you guys!

More pictures of them:-
