Hello everyone.
I am hoping I can get help me. I am wondering if Hikari Lionhead or Saki-Hikari (purple) will negatively affect the black on a goldfish? Will it make it worse by turning them more orange or red?

And is Hikari Wheat Germ ok to feed to black goldfish also with no ill affect on the black?

Hi Mushroom,

I have seen a few of my black fish go a bit orange from prolonged use of Hikari (Saki or Lionhead)... I find the best for strong blacks is sunshine and algae.

cheers.

J.
