Hi...
Is cultivating green water in aquarium has the same effect as in cultivating in the pond/fibre tank? Will it have the same effect? Better growth, better color? Is 140cm X 50cm X 40cm tank suitable for goldfish rearing?

I'm also quite confused what you're asking. Could you rephrase it?

nothing beats natural sunlight in terms of spectrum, intensity and hence penetration.

if pond means outdoor, then go for it. it's definitely better than indoor. for dimension of tank/pond etc, other than the surface area, also need to take note of depth. if shallow, easier penetration by light (artificial or natural). hence if u take the indoor route, just take note that normal PL light has limited penetration. unless of course u r using MH.

Hehehe... sorry for my bad english... What i mean is whether keeping goldfish in green water in outdoor ponds is the same as keeping them in green water in aquarium? i'm using NAN light for lighting... Also, does material plays important part? ie, using fibre glass, earth, plastic tud or glass tank...

there is.. sunlight better than artificial light in some ways
artificial would be preferred if u need control over the lighting hours

cement has its own natural buffering abilities
and extra "liao" but is expensive and after a few years need to do some maintaince

fibre will leak toxic chemicals after a few years if exposed in the direct hot sun over long periods of time

plastic is not as strong as fibre

glass tank silicon will dry up over time.. and cannot take rough handling

earth ah.. hmm.. r u staying in singapore?

correction, nan light can be used.. but effective period, cost of replacement etc.. results in roughly the same cost as MH smile.gif
