Fed up getting fake anti-chlorine solution or paying an arm and a leg for silly "water conditioner"?

Make your own anti-chlorine solution.

http://www.cnykoi.com/calculators/calcstdose.asp

You can even formulate it so you need apply just a few drops for your massive tank instead of pouring caps full.

You can buy anti-chlorine crystal (Sodium Thiosulfate) in cheap bulk size at:-

http://web.singnet.com.sg/~merchem/frames.htm

or $5 a KG at fei fei in china town.

Here you go:-

http://www.streetdirectory.com.sg/map.jsp?...=postal&sres=-1

Their shop faces the main road and is just a few shops before the car park entrance to chinatown point.

Their phone number is 6535 4429 and it's best to call ahead so that they can pack 1KG (or however much you need) for you as they don't carry ready pre-packed stocks.

Residual Chlorine (free chlorine + chlorine in chloramine) is always kept at below 2ppm.

There's been lots of hearsays that PUB can increase it as they like... This, I have lots of doubt in.

Okay! Thanks for your great information on anti-chlorine.
I believe it is called Sodium Thiosulphate or Hyposulphate.
The Fei Fei shop confirmed this chemical they had.
But they are not using for fish's anti-chlorine,but others.
Only confirmation is from the main distributor Mercury....

I have seen one ranchu shop from Kovan shop using that for his shop.
Let's keep our fingers cross.
He uses 3-5 pieces of squarish crystal per 5 gal tub.
To be save,i will ad in some extra bit of stress & antichlorine solution.

Any further better advise pls. inform me.

Melvyn.
(Trying to distribute the famous ranchu text book 'Fancy Goldfish' from USA,which currently nobody can get this book in asia)

I'm currently also using these crystals bought from Fei Fei as recommended by our 'lobang' king HB. hehe. So far, I just go over there and they are more than willing to pack for me without any fuss (but mininium u have to buy 1kg hor).

Beats using the fake Genesis and cheaper somemore. good_very.gif
