Is your other ID O.P.?

Anyway, I'm very interested with D5D, just don't like the kit lens
square_guy
i'm "gyjoe" at clubsnap, rarely ever posted.

i also planning for the D5D when i come back to singapore in Oct for holiday. the kit lens sounds good for that wide end. else i have my 24-105mm yes.gif

errhhmmm..... BUY BUY BUY!!!!! BUY CAMERA!!!! BUY GOLDFISH!!!!! laugh.gif
jhansolo
I was playing with it in KM showroom, beside the point that it is made in China, there is sound when the AF is turned off using manual focus. I'm looking at if someone would take the kit lens before I buy. Camera is good fit for my hands, if you have handled OM4 with grip, it feels the same, in some way better. I would recommand for the wide end to get a dedicated since you got 24mm already. F3.5 is really not something to shout about.
square_guy
dedicated wide? not gonna be cheap leh.... i was thinking about maybe a sigma 11-24, but quite hard to justify to myself the 500+ (i think) need for this small range for landscape. changing lens is a chore too...

No I'm a Olympus SLR user minolta is a brand new thing to me but the D5D offer is damn good.

Pros: AS
square_guy
ah ok. the current olympus DSLR or film? i guess switching camp is gonna cost you quite a bit then.

i'm also eagerly awaiting the new 11-18 glass frm KM shiok.gif hopefully it'll be cheap
jhansolo
Gave up on OM since they out did themselves with OM4. Still love that piece, it is work of art. Switching camp is a matter of time as ever since OM4, I don't hear a single good thing about them. Their digital range is really only slightly above average, but to use it as a tool ... no thanks. I don't need a lot of stuff so it is not big deal / cost.
square_guy
alright.... so when do we see goldfish pics from u taken with the D5D? smile.gif
jhansolo
That sounds like cut the bull shit and show me the money ... ha ha. Soon, but I have to lay low on the goldfish pictures first, because minister of home affairs bet that I would have more goldfish pictures than any other. I insisted when I put up the budget proposal based on the argument that it is for capturing the moments of my children's growth. I have to make a effort to keep that to a small ratio before I get over the trip wire ... you know what I mean.
