Dear my fellow friends there,

I have just adopted 3 SVR BBRs from my friends (2 different breeder).

IPB Image

I need your advise on how to spot the potentials of these 3 BBRs.
Which one has the best potential to be grown-up?

Any comments are welcome as I need your inputs for further development of these fishes.

Thanks a lot guys. peace.gif

Dear Moderator,

I'm sorry for making double post.
Would you please help me to delete one of it?

Many thanks.

Whoa nice SV BBRs!

Hmm standard-wise, the front one is best, middle one is ok, and back one is least ok.

The back two got a little "hump" just after the head, dunno if the wen will cover it and makes the head and body one smooth line.

I'm looking forward to these three's development very much! good_very.gif

Hi,

I agree with Bro d_golem. The front one is the best.

Agree.
And I think the middle piece will be the largest.

Also agree with that yes.gif looks bigger than the foreground fish.

Hi bro d_golem,
Thanks for your insights. good_very.gif
Btw, according the breeder, the little hump will be covered by wen for sure (depending on my hands of course blush.gif ).
He also mentioned that it would be the "sign" of big fish.
Is that right?

Hi,

I agree with Bro d_golem. The front one is the best.

Hi Bro Will,
THanks for the kind words.
The breeder still has a lot of this type.
Care to adopt? biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Hi CP,
Thanks for your kind words.
And besides the size, what makes you choose the middle piece will be the largest?
From the little hump as the breeder pointed?
Or maybe another reasons?

Thanks peace.gif
gerrard8
all 3 looks nice to me,in terms of body shape..but how big are they now??
chochiss
The middle piece will grow out faster. I like the one on the right. It has more potential......since can't see much from the pic I have to use my gut feelings.

Hey, I've bought something similar....3 SVRs oso. 2 din make it, the largest survived.
desireless
The piece facing right looks to be the best shaped. But is there a kink at the tail?

Together with the one in the middle, both will not grow to be very big fish but they will grow to be very nice ones.

Hi gerrard8,

Thanks for the kind words.
The 2 fish upfronts are about 6-7cm.
The small one in the back is about 5cm.

Hi chochiss,

Thanks for your input. Well, everyone seems to like the one on the right. yes.gif
My condolence for the "din-make-it" SVRs.
Care to show us the survivor? wink.gif

Growth rate wise, I am agree with Bro Desireless but I think the middle piece will grow slower and in the end it will be smaller than the right one.

One of local breeder has offered me to adopt these 2 babies.
But, I will only take one due to my limited budget.

Please help me to select one of them?

Bro Chan,

Photo is not clear enough, but I guess the second one is the best although I like the color pattern of the first one.

The second one has perfect curve and perfect egg body shape. Head growth is minimal but it can be improved as the fish grows.

Rgds,
William

Same with Bro William,

I prefer the second one, nice curve. Although coloration is not good as the first one

hi I also think the second one is the best but both of the bbrs you buy in march is better (the right and middle), right blush.gif ?
bekko
Hmmmm. When I looked at them I thought the first was better because the curve on the second one is sort of shifted toward the rear. Second has a higher back, but first is more symetrical. Like the color too.

Hi Bro Will, Bro Irwan, & Bro Yanto,
I suddenly decided to adopt both of them. tongue.gif
I personally prefer the second one as you guys chose.
But then the first one won a contest. blush.gif

Last week in the anniversary of Bogos (Borobudur Goldfish Society).
Just won the 3rd prize in baby ranchu class.
Really suprised me. ohmy.gif

Really made me in a hurry to grab before somebody there did.

Dear All,

On my posting dated 29 Mar 2007, the size of the fishes are still the same but they are big different now.
They are kept in the same pond, means that same environment and same feeding amount.
Why are they different in size now? Genes?
