Come to think about it.... Singapore was called Singapura until 1819 biggrin.gif So the they probably have their history mixed up nananana.gif Or am I the one who's mixed up? biggrin.gif

I thought Singapore was known as Temasek until it was founded by Stamford Raffles and named it Singapore? Singapura is just the Malay name for it.

Not ashamed if I get these wrong 'cos I Malaysian. biggrin.gif

Back then, it had several names, more prominently as Temasek, until Sang Nila Utama founded and called it Singapura.


But the pirate prime time was in 14th and 15th century. Davy Jones was notorious at that time, as a devil of the sea. I believe this movie was set at that time. biggrin.gif
