I have taken some pictures of fishes during bench-in. (Sorry for the lousy pictures as I am using a borrowed camera). The judging has not been done so there is no ranking yet. Only some "interesting fishes" taken at the moment. But in random arrangement.

I hope that there will be more pictures posted soon.

The largest ryukin in the show. The hand there can be misleading. It looked smaller because it was at the other side of the tank.

Do you find anything wrong with this picture? hysterical.gif

Quite difficult to find a good piece of purple (brown) ranchu.

This piece looks like it's got a great deal of potential

I must say that the quality of entries this year is better than in 2005.

The ryukin category is very impressive, and I think the Grand Champ may once again hail from the ryukin cat; as in 2003 and 2005.

We'll know the results in 24 hrs.............

Benching was done in the scorching heat hmm.gif Aircon was not switch on and most of us were soak thro

After benching I have to coooool off with this mountain that cost me $2.20 sweatingbullets.gif sweatingbullets.gif sweatingbullets.gif

Arguably this humongous piece may clinch Aquarama 2007 grand champion for goldfish

The Matrix
Indeed, the most majestic fish is the butterfly ryukin in the Open category. In fact I will be surprise if it dun clinch any prize. Even in the ryukin cat, it will take on the challenge of any other ryukins. I guess the ryukin cat participants are very lucky to see it in Open. sweatingbullets.gif I believe this year, the result will be very interesting and most probably not wat you will expected. Grand Champ is a ryukin but it is from the Open .... hahahahahaha. Lets see if it can create history.

Anyway, in the Oranda, there are several good entries. One from the Thai NK Farm is abosolutely solid. Both lack the vibrant coloration and majestic look of the Butt Ryukin.

Actually I am slightly disappointed in the ranchu cat.

Anyway lets wait till tomorrow afternoon to get the result.

Oh, participants are not allowed to enter the hall tomorrow, the competition area will be closed for judging. Only Officials pass holder can enter. Partition has been erected after you guys left the hall.

Oh, this year I see Dragon Fish has many impressive fish. And the Aquascaping section put in a real nice and creative display. Some of the participants work till 10pm just to get the tank up and running. Lots of effort put in ! Bravo.

Ok time to get some rest ... still got to be at the hall early ....

I got fed up with the static pictures and ended up taking video capture biggrin.gif

Thank you very much for the pics. So many nice fish - would be hard to choose. Maybe the second red/white ryukin in desireless' photos. What is that fish after the comet? Sort of a wakin, but not exactly. Very unusual.

desireless
I believe it is a wakin. I had a freak out of a ranchu brood long ago that looks like this hysterical.gif But the colour is not as fantastic as this piece

As most people have anticipated,2007 Aquarama held for the first time at Suntec city should prove yet again to be the leading aquarium trade fair cum competition show not just this region but perhaps in the entire world. Not only is the show well organized and participated, the buzz around the event is just absolutely fantastic.
Some of the exciting inclusions are the perennial favorites of ornamental fish competition which most of us here at RG never fail to be a part of it, although never seem to win any of it. Sideshows and talks on related fish keeping aside, the array of new products on display is going to be equally mind-boggling and absolutely breath-taking..For many companies there are no better place to introduce the latest technological development and innovation pertaining to the aquarium trade than Aquarama. So don’t miss this biannual event this weekend So come on down to Suntec Convention centre and be a part of this “orgy” where all meet with a common aqua-interest(not hokkien ok) Aquarama has set such high standard in the aquarium trade and competition show that it would be a tough act for many others to follow….

This is goldrush reporting LIVE from the suntec city

Singapore no one 'sweeping' the prizes meh?

That's a long show. Five days in a show tank? How often do they change water?

u fast worker, see u take up yr laptop, thought u checking for emails and client appt..... laugh.gif

i see a few categories.......so unjustiable for some fishes...

small ones also look good but too bad size do matters, look at oranda, ryukin, ranchu, open, dragoneye. rusure.gif

....feel so sad for some owners with fishes of outstanding features......

i deem the ranchu category has a fairly good spread of good fishes and the result is justifable.

4)Its packed with crowds during weekends
5)Fish competitions are of high quality
6)RG members never fails to participate
