Hi Friends,

I have to admit that I never used Green Water for my fiber setup along my 2 years of keeping goldfish. blush.gif
But, when I setup new fiber pond for my fishes, green water suddenly appears. ohmy.gif

I started to set-up this fiber pond with (small) mix of mechanical/biological filter last Sunday.
Let it run without fishes for one full day. Put the fishes on Tuesday.
And I found the green water appearing on 3rd day (Thursday).

Here are the photos:

This pond is 200x100x40 cm. Exposed with sunlight around 3-4 hours/day.
I put 3 jumbo ranchus, 2 senior ranchus, 1 jumbo orandas, and 2 junior pearlscales in it.
Feeding regime is 2 x bloodworm and 3 x pellets per day.

Would anybody advise me whether it is the "RIGHT" green water?
If I want to maintain to use green water for this pond setup, what should I do?

Thanks a lot guys. peace.gif

Hi Chandra,

There was a discussion on shade of green before here

If you want to maintain the green, remove the filter as it is not needed.

Hi desireless,

Thanks for your reply since I'm new to green water. blush.gif
Judging the shadness of my green water by looking at the link you gave, I can tell my green water is almost number 4.
Have to do WC tomorrow. hmm.gif
I will try the method of Happy Buddha told in his thread. yes.gif

Thanks again bro.
