Hi all sifus,

I want to consult you all to see whether you have encountered this problem, which is certainly new to me. The story goes- I got 3 lovely Orandas and 1 Ranchu from NK farm yesterday. All settled well yesterday and they began eating and I am so happy with them.

This morning, I noticed abit of commotion in the tank and found that 2 of the Orandas kept chasing the lone Ranchu. The Orandas' mouths were constantly, chomping/kissing or whatever the body of the Ranchu, and the latter seemed irritated but did not fight back and kept avoiding the bullies. There were no visible injuries on the Ranchu but I am keeping my fingers crossed rusure.gif beg2.gif

Is this normal? I thought Goldfish are peaceful creatures.

Should I get those plastic sheet to separate them or sit and wait?

They are mating.....when they are high, sometimes those males can be extremely rowdy....
Probably 2 of these oranda of yours are males and your lone ranchu is confirmed female.

Hi Laserguy,

Never knew i got a female Ranchu biggrin.gif

Should I leave them alone? Will the Ranchu get too stressed out and in harm's way? Worried about her.
