I need to ask , if we could use black water for goldfish, those that people use for Arrowana Fish. Thinking of using as it made the tank color more cool and the Orange look nicer. Thanks.

pH is lower and water is softer - may be good for aro but NOT ideal for goldfish.

I see alot of Koi keeper use Black water too...

Well Ph could be raise if needed, but why is it not popular. understand there is lot of mineral in the black water.

from what i've read, at room temp. ammonia (NH3) becomes ammonium (NH4) at lower PH. NH4 is not harmful to fish but NH3 is.
