Very nice. I also keep a few Ryukins as well. I got them from Japan. Their tales are much longer. What do you think about them? Do you find any long tail Ryukin in Singapore? Cheers.

That are long tail ryukins in Sinagpore, both from Japan and China.

Seriously speaking, I do not know much abt Jap Ryukins. IMHO, Japan's ryukin are mostly long tail, very bright red and white, very nice too. There seems to be less emphasis on humps and main emphasis is on the body head and tail or at least I have not seen any Jap ryukin with good humps. I came across 2 types that have open tail when look from the top and those with normal side view

I am a nuts for Short tail ryukins, so I do not have much experience with Long Tail ryukins

I have seens some Long Tail Thai Ryukin with marvellous tail, thick, standing and medium lenght.

I will be in Thailand from Friday to Sunday for Gold fish hunting with a fellow forumer (a Thai National) ...he will be bringing me around tongue.gif

If it is convienent, I would like to visit your farm and take some serious photos so that once I am back I can do a field report of my Thailand Fish hunting trip.

Cheers

hey... nice ryukins... but i think the first batch was the best so far... but of course if these 2 are reasonably priced, then no worries lah...

from the pictures, the 2nd fish looks better.... maybe the 1st fish angle may not be right... nevertheless, nice catches... good_very.gif

wah.. shiok.gif going to thailand ah? happy ranchu hunting man.. peace.gif

yap... the first batch is still the nicest..... sad.gif... these fishes is less than half the price of the first ... actually it is 1/3 of the price.

Yes, 2nd fish is nicer.. and it is 30% cheaper somemore shiok.gif

These 2 fish is still under quarantine.. did not post any pics earlier because they are very thin and looks awful.

IMO, the 1st fish should have better potential... let me pump it for 1 mth and I post the pics again. I wanna stretch the tummy a little, increase hump's bulk and pull the tail set down a little bit more..... hehehhe

cheers

wahahahaha.... knew u would ask this question..wahahhah.. just kidding only !!!hehheh

My experience on ryukins tells me that when the ryukins goes into pumping mode, it's tummy really bulks up very easily, the bulging of tummy, tends to bulge more towards the back then downwards..hehehehehhe... so when it bulge backwards, some time it actually pulls the lower portion of the tail closer to the body.

so the conclusion is "PUMP it up and make it fatter" wahhahah... no magic lah tongue.gif

Great to hear about your trip. I am available for any comment if you would like to hear about the newer players or the high end market (most of them are my friends). I know almost all of the dealers pretty well, and will be more than happy to share my views as a collector. Sorry, that I cannot give recommendation in mixed companies.

We are actually having a small competition soon, so a lot of people are gearing up for it. For topview, I suggest that you get this magazine called Fancy Fish from the nearest bookstand when you get hear. The issue this month highlights the leading new breeders in the market.

I would like you to kindly ask that you keep my farm as the last place that you visit. Sunday will be really cool since I want you to have the opportunity to experience what the ranchu market in Bangkok and the neighboring provinces have to offer before hitting the Absolute Ranchu Farm.

I have been looking at some of your pictures, and it looks like you are another avid collector. Nice, nice, I am a crazy head too.(so said my wife)

Thank you very much for your comment about ryukin, may be if you have time I'll show you my ryukin while you are visiting.

Save trip Bro.

Cheers, and Sawasdee krap
