Well, they are selling other that runs on 12 hours basis, which is really pretty silly if you think about it. Suppose I set two feeds a day at 7 am and 1 pm. Such an auto feeder would feed the fishes at 7 pm and 1 am in the morning as well! The correct feeding schedule for goldfish kept indoors should be 6 am, 7 am, 8 am, 9 am, 11 am and if you have a good filtration system, 5 pm as well. If you take Yahoo Ranchu Group's expert advise, you would install at least TWO auto feeder at different corners of your tank. This way, a ranchu would actively swim around looking for food all over the tank.
