i was reading a thread on sump tank vs IOF tank.
is sump tank ideal for goldfish? maintenance seem simpler and filtration change and medication could be added quite simply with sump tank, any one has one and can share some experience on sump tank? |

QUOTE(mountain @ Mon 08 Mar 2004 01:34 PM) please tell me u squeeze a sponge filter inside ![]() Simon Road put a Japanese Mat in it... which I doubt works well as a filter. I, being the smart one, put a sponge filter in it. The standard guppy brand sponge filter fits perfectly with about 3-5 mm gap. The bottom of the can has holes too which I use a thin piece of wool to seal up. The now closed bottom aluminium can can collects debris well. ![]() It's quite nice to have. My fishy can't nip on the sponge filter anymore, and it gives the tank a more stylish look. ![]() Aluminium will not cause any chemical reaction in the tank, I hope. ![]() ![]() |
