One look can already see that the tail is not pointed.

Body curve is also not smooth. Can easily see 3 kinks.

No head growth

And colour wise... fading from black.

Very lousy fish.

Alright people, stop the negative comments.

It should be obvious to some of you the owner is not a local judging by the fish's quality and the tank setup.

Please make constructive comments from now onwards such as what to look out for in a good ranchu.

Sorry, was meant to be a good comment.

Pay at this price and get this type of fish is reasonable. You never know with enough "effort" a nice fish will surface one day.

This is my personal belief, love1.gif

i suppose ga30 is your fish too. both are out of proportion. the goldfish academy is a no-holds-barred forum. most ppl would have think that the fish is quite bad, but it is probably hard to get decent goldfish overseas (but we don't know that!).

try looking through more goldfish in the GA.

make a comparision to
http://www.rafflesgold.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1126

what's the difference in features (apart from size)?

This actually looks like a blue/brown ranchu, which is rare, to me. But then I can't be certain as the photo was taken with a camera flash light that may have over-exposed the tell-tale sign of blue/brown.
