The front part of this ryukin is very nice. High hump and erected dorsal.
But there is a problem with this kind of modern Thai-bred ryukin. They call it the "Mid-tailed Ryukin". However, in the conventional classification of ryukin, there's no such category. Both short-tailed and long-tailed ryukins has it's own standard of appreciation. For such mid-tailed species, unfortunately there's no officially-recognized standard of appreciating. Perhaps only the thais know how to.  |

wah - well spotted -another ryukin master
 besides the dorsal which doesn't have the full front ray, I am quite happy with this fish. Trying to decide on breeding stock with people's comments but it seems like there are few people willing to comment to comment on ryukins  |
